President Ron Pollard led OESPA members around Lake Eola at the annual Come Out With Pride parade on Saturday October 12, 2019. The event, which draws over 100,000 annually, was a great success for the LGBTQ+ community. And for first time attendee Robin Bolden, she can see why the event is so popular.
“As we walked along the parade route, I enjoyed seeing so many happy, joyful, and kind people.” Bolden, an OESPA member from Rock Springs Elementary, “The energy was upbeat and positive. I heard someone in the crowd saying ‘OESPA paras, custodians, bus drivers’ and it made me so happy that my fellow ESP family knew that I was there for them.”
“We are an inclusive union,” remarked OESPA President Ron Pollard “No matter what your sexual orientation, there is a place for you in OESPA.”
