OESPA VOTER INFORMATION PAGE
The upcoming local and national elections will surely be historic. We are asking all OESPA members to make your voices heard so that elected officials know that their voters want well funded public schools. Here are four important things you can do:
1. REGISTER TO VOTE (OR UPDATE YOUR VOTER INFORMATION)
If you need to register or update your information simply click on the link for your county below. Nearly all registration and updates can be done online. The deadline to register to vote in Florida for the August 2020 Election (OCPS School Board, Orange County offices, etc.) is July 20, 2020.
2. MAKE SURE FELLOW PUBLIC SCHOOL SUPPORTERS ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE AND THEIR INFORMATION IS UP-TO-DATE
Same as above! Get your nephew, your grandma, your cousin get EVERYONE to make sure they are ready to go. Know someone who lives out-of-state? Encourage them to check with their local elections offices. This election is too important to leave anyone on the sidelines.
3. STAY SAFE! VOTE-BY-MAIL!
Voting by mail has been a popular practice for well over a decade in Florida. It is secure and it saves you from having to stand on long lines. You can request it online so find your county link below.
4. VOTE AND MAKE SURE FELLOW PUBLIC SUPPORTERS DO, TOO!
Just like you made sure everyone is registered and up-to-date make sure they get out and vote. Prefer to vote in person? Early voting for the August Election is open from 9am to 7pm from August 3 to August 16th in Orange County (other counties may have different hours/days) . Election Day is August 18th from 8am to 8pm.
